OK, we all know Lacuna Coil has a song titled 1.19. They have said they will never reveal it's meaning.

What do you think it means? Serious, or funny, it doesnt matter.



For example. I once suggested that the complete awesomeness of Bridget (rokbonka) became so legendary that it became known worldwide. They knew it was her birthday and just dont want everyone else to know. They dont want us getting jealous.

This Is My Theory Of What I Feel The Song Means.

1-19 signifies a date where her life become derailed. Flashing lights imply a necessity of a major intervention. This song is what happen when a major life event breaks the camel's back She goes through the motions of a major adjustment event. She has crying spells, panic attack, and her preception of time because keen and sluggish because her aguish is severe. Yes, self multilation is involved, but its about shame and guilt, not about suicide. Her shell disappearing is an indication that she can no longer defind against the deleterous effects of the depressive event, and she stands exposed and vulnerable. This doesn't help at all; it feed the hopelessness and shame loop that feeds depression. Swallowing whirls of dust for while could mean that the acute face of the disorder was protracted.

Everyone hides feeling of inferiority, maybe in one specific event or to one specific person. In the song's perspective she has become what she has feared, a loser in the game of life. This not normal and healthy response to stress. So on top of shame, guilt, hopelessness, she encounters worthlessness. She suffering immensly because she can retract the decisions that brought her to this point.

The song is brought back to a fine point as it describes the essential reason for the episode. She is disgusted with herself because the lack of integrity she has. Her guilt was quiet,and hidden. She never receive absolution for her transgression, so the built up inside until the exploded. I'm thinking this is incident where people where used and discarded, becaus the pain is horrific. Finally, concession of ones thoughts and imagination. This is core issue of the adjustment disorder; she lost herself inside herself. The realization that she wasn't being true to herself must have brought her to her knees almost immediately. She must have deviated notcably from what she wanted or believed in. Her life came crashig down because in her heart she was living a lie.
